Why work for the NHS?
26Sep11
I want to work as a healthcare professional, so I'm looking online at NHS jobs and it's got me thinking about why I'd want to work for the NHS, as much bad press as it can sometimes get.
I had a look around online and found some pretty good stuff.
If you work for an NHS Trust you become part of something exciting, new and pioneering. There are fantastic opportunities to work on cutting-edge research and provide high standards of patient care.
The NHS seems to really value its staff and seem to be committed to their own personal development. Many centres are signed up to the national skills pledge a voluntary commitment to help boost their business productivity and employee potential through training.
There are also a great range of benefits, but I think the first and most important one is that you get to help people, that's something I will value above all else!
